Flux across metal-metal interface

Good morning,

I keep working with Cu-W cube and wanted to calculate the flux of hydrogen across the interface between these two metals, but FESTIM keeps giving 0. All the rest: total retentions and fluxes across Cu-gas and W-gas surfaces works fine. Could this be because the SurfaceFlux is calculated as gradient of concentration and so, it breaks down at an interface of two metals with concentration jump? If so, is there other way to calculate flux across the interface?

Best wishes

FESTIM doesn’t support internal fluxes (ie. fluxes at internal interfaces). See this open issue.

However in this comment I remember finding a workaround.

Oh I see, thank you. Of course, internal flux can be estimated from balance of fluxes and total retention.
